This rich pattern is essentially a chevron with diamond inserts. the main field consists of european white oak 7″ wide. The diamond inserts are a combination of walnut and leopard wood an exotic from Africa. The floor has heavily pillowed edges, worm holes and hand scrape chatter as well as a medium wire brushing. To colour we applied a fuming tannin treatment, a clear natural oil and then top coated with a darker oil to accentuate the texture.
